How to calculate a tip on a calculator ?


You can use the following formula to calculate the tip :

Tip = Bill Amount × Tip Percentage Total to Pay = Bill Amount + Tip Total per person = Total to Pay / Number of persion

Example: For the dinner bill of $500, and a tip amount of 15% of bill amount is needed. To share total cost with 5 person, how much would it cost for each person?

Tip = $500 × 0.15 = $75 Total to Pay = $500 + $75 = $575 Total per person = $575 / 5 = $115

Is Tipping a Good Thing?
